Marcus has been working with employer groups, professional bodies and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills to develop new apprenticeships since the start of the Trailblazer initiative in 2013. So far he has successfully facilitated the development of Insurance Practitioner, Insurance Professional, Mortgage Adviser, Financial Services Administrator and Paraplanner Trailblazers through to formal approval. He is also currently working on Financial Adviser and Assistant Accountant Trailblazers.

He is a regular presenter at Trailblazer apprenticeship events and has been asked by the Insurance sector to lead an employer group in the ongoing governance, development and promotion of apprenticeships for the sector. Prior to starting his consulting business Marcus held a number of senior roles in the Financial Services sector including Sales Director at Bristol & West, Strategic Partnership Director at AXA & Head of Affinity Partnerships at ACE European Group.
